This event will give an insight into the basis of the Hydrogen Technologies, Safety, Compliance, and Applications from a practical perspective in an Australian context.
A key takeaway will also be the imparting ideas of using
hydrogen technologies for regional energy security and economic opportunities
as well as for de-carbonising our economy now and through emerging
technologies.
Guest speaker from emerging South Australian hydrogen energy opportunity to entice people to come along to learn about the industry, not necessarily focused on welding, however will have welding related content. From the speaker:
Matt is an Operations and Engineering Manager in the clean energy hydrogen field with broad-based skills acquired through working for more than 30 years in leadership roles in Australia, Germany, and China mainly within first tier automotive industry suppliers, such as Bosch and Denso.
His hydrogen journey started at the end of 2016 leading projects such as developing a hydrogen-based energy simulator for off-grid applications, instigating the development of a specific fuel cell DC-DC convertor, being the Engineering Manager responsible for the design of the fuel cell power system used in Toyota’s Eco-Park Hydrogen Demonstrator site in Altona Victoria.
In early 2019, he joined Australian Standards Hydrogen Technology Committee ME-093 as a founding member responsible for all Australian Hydrogen Standards as well as liaising with ISO and IEC mirror committees oversees.
His international connections as well membership to the Australian German Chamber of Commerce visits to the Tokyo Fuel Cell EXPO’s as well as specialist training in Toronto all keep him abreast of the latest developments.
