Technical Resources: what,
where and why
Improve efficiency, success and quality of the work you deliver
21st September, 2021, 10.00am AEST via
Zoom
This event will give you a sound understanding of the technical resources that are available and how to access.
Weld Australia provides members with access to a wide range of
technical resources at their fingertips. Published as Technical Notes and
Technical Guidance Notes, these documents cover a range of subject matters
pertinent to your work and are an essential ingredient for the success and
quality of any product, service, or business you deliver.
These technical resources can provide a more efficient working
environment. If a worker is set a task that they are unfamiliar
with, which also has a deadline, they do not want to spend hours trying to find
the relevant information to learn how to use it.
The presenter will describe the basis for each document and how
they can provide key technical information to assist your business.

WHY YOU SHOULD ATTEND:
With more and more pressure to deliver work to required high standards within tight deadlines, having access to technical information is critical. Knowing what can be found within this documentation is the first step.
You will also have the opportunity to gain insight into the future plans. There is also an opportunity for Q&A at the end.
THE PRESENTER:
Bruce Cannon is Weld Australia’s Principal Welding Engineer and Technical Publications Manager. He is Chair of the Standards Australia Committee WD-003 and has represented Australia at ISO meetings, including the current revision of ISO 9606-1.
