AS/NZS ISO 3834
specifies the production control requirements expected for fusion welded
products globally, whether fabricated on-site or in a workshop. It is the
internationally recognised benchmark for welding quality.
This presentation,
will provide an overview of the AS/NZS ISO 3834 standard and of 9001 vs 3834
and will focus specifically on AS/NZS ISO 3834 standard Part 2, Part 3 (clauses
5 to 18) and Part 4 requirements, providing real-life and theoretical examples
to further drive understanding on the topic.

With over 15 years’
experience in both materials engineering and welding, Victor has worked across
a variety of industries, including rolling stock, energy, and aerospace. With
experience varying from project start-up and welding coordination and management
through to supplier auditing and support, Louis has worked in several countries
including Australia, Canada, China, France, New Zealand, and Malaysia. Victor
has extensive knowledge and experience in various welding standards, including
ISO, EN, AS/NZS, CSA and AWS. He has also developed welding procedures for a
range of processes (GMAW, MCAW, FCAW, and GTAW), and performed crack tests and
hydrogen tests.
