Weld Australia has developed two comprehensive online welder
safety training courses – one course aimed at welders, and the second aimed at
welding engineers and supervisors.
The objective of these courses is to improve safety
awareness, knowledge and outcomes across the welding industry.
The courses cover a broad range of subject material across
welding processes, and also include assessment and certification for course
participants.
At this launch event you can learn more about the courses,
including how you can use them in your business or career.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER:
Andrew Davies, Manager, Technical Industry
Networks - Weld Australia
Andrew has had some 40 years of in-depth
engineering and asset management experience in the electricity generation
industry across a number of coal fired power stations, gas turbines and hydro
plant. His expertise extends to the development of long-term asset strategies
for power station plant and equipment, and includes maintenance strategies,
plant outage strategies, capital upgrades and performance improvement projects,
and associated budgets to undertake the implementation of the required works. He
also has experience in the management of maintenance works and major overhaul
outages, project management, contract management, and financial management.
Andrew has led many major overhaul and capital upgrade projects, which were
completed on time and within budget. He also has experience in environmental compliance
and safety management.
Andrew holds an MBA in Technology
Management, and a Bachelor of Engineering.
