Awarded two years running as the most innovative business in the Pilbara, we are a key supplier to all of the major players in the region, we have seen sustained growth in recent times and an excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Mechanical & Fabrication Estimator to join our Karratha based team.
This opportunity sits within the Mining & Resources sector and is a full-time, on-site position based in Port Hedland, Karratha & Pilbara, WA.
Key responsibilities
Reporting
to our Operations Manager, this full-time permanent position will deliver
detailed and accurate estimations for various engineering services and prepare
quotations, schedules and tender submissions to meet customer requirements.
Successful applicants will be responsible for working with customers and our
Business Development team to scope, plan, estimate and resource works as
necessary.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
·
Scope, Analyse and Review Tender’s & RFQ’s; including
Drawings, the Scope Documents, Contractual T’s & C’s and Client
Specifications
·
Prepare accurate and detailed Project Quotations
& Tender Submissions for Structural Fabrication, Machining, Pipe Spooling,
Workshop Fabrication, Site Installation, Shut Down Delivery and Routine
Maintenance scope.

Work in conjunction with our operations team to
prioritise tendering works and to plan upcoming submissions.
·
Engage with Clients & Suppliers in a
professional and timely manner
·
Work in conjunction with our Administrative Team to
ensure all records and documention and managed in line with our Tendering &
Document Management Systems
·
Work closely with clients to provide technical
design and support to increase the value delivered by the company
·
Develop work-packs and assist with procurement for
successful projects and hand these over to the Operations Team
·
Liaise with our management and scheduling teams to
ensure that resources are available and allocated as necessary to meet our
commitments and obligations to our clients
About you
·
3+ Years of Experience in Mechanical &
Fabrication Estimating
·
Trade Qualified Metal Fabricator or Batchelor
Degree Qualified with 5+ years experience in an Engineering Fabrication
Environment
·
C Class Manual Drivers License
·
Advanced/Intuitive computer skills
·
Extensive experience in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft
Word & Microsoft Project
·
Excellent communication skills; written, oral &
telephone as well as clear attention to detail
·
Excellent personal time management skills,
including the ability to identify, prioritise and focus on the most important
task
· The ability to communicate clearly through engineering drawings: Hand Sketch or CAD (preferable)
· Committed to responsible, ethical and sustainable work practices that deliver best practice outcomes in OH&S, Quality & Environmental matrices
- Physically fit and healthy, with a commitment to personal health
and wellbeing (Essential)
Other Advantageous Skills, preferred
but not required
· 3D CAD Design: Inventor, Solidworks, OnShape etc.
- Quality Qualifications: CSWIP, IWS, API Tank Inspection etc.
- Project Management Qualifications & Experience
- Computer Programming Skills (C, Java, Python etc.)
