Asset Management Specialist

Delta Electricity operates one coal-fired power station providing a reliable supply of 24 hour, baseload electricity. The Vales Point Power Station is located at the southern end of Lake Macquarie with installed capacity of around 1,320 megawatts. 

Is to ensure reliable plant operations at Vales Point power station and provide specialist leadership and advice on technical and commercial matters to other asset team members, maintenance and operational staff and assist with development of asset staff.

This role has direct asset management responsibility for highly complex plant areas or systems depending upon specific team requirements.

Specifically, the role is responsible for some of the following areas:

• Boilers
• Fans
• Air heaters
• Process safety

We are looking for someone with -

• Tertiary Qualifications at Degree level in Mechanical Engineering or relevant equivalent qualifications and/or experience.
• Extensive knowledge of modern power station plant or heavy industry including operational and maintenance processes, and ability to apply statutory requirements particularly in the areas of plant, safety and the environment.
• Extensive contract knowledge and experience including substantial negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated leadership including developing and mentoring staff.
