About the role
We are currently seeking to appoint Automation Sales Manager (Australia) to work in our Automation team based in Sydney. Through this team, we deliver Robotic Welding and cutting systems, Profile cutting systems, Hard automation welding systems, Virtual welding training systems and Welding fume control systems
To be successful in this role applicant will be able to demonstrate a record of accomplishment of providing a professional level of engineering and technology support in mechanical and electrical system design as applied to automated welding and cutting systems.

This opportunity sits within the Energy sector and is a full-time, on-site position based in Padstow, NSW.
Key responsibilities
Achieve and exceed Automation sales and margin targets for all Automation products sold locally. Develop Technical and Commercial Proposals/Quotations/Drawings and documentation including the development and execution of customer sales plans. Lead and develop customer facing customer interaction both directly and via the Lincoln electric sales network including managing customer relationships. Manage department resources to conduct customer application assessments through to system design and specification as per customer requirements. Manage and coordinate automation resources to support job execution to purchase specifications. Manage Automation resources for technical support for automation products. Manage automation customer opportunities via SF and other Lincoln Electric tools. Prepare and present monthly sales results and commercials at monthly sales review meeting.
About you
The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial and sales principles as required by Sales manager’s role. Have demonstrated experience with mechanised and robotic welding applications, mechanical and electrical design and documentation, safety system design as per AS4024, project management, support of technology products, and delivering end user product training and demonstrations. Ability to drive high performance and meeting customer requirements by leading highly trained, engaged and qualified engineers. Hold a tertiary qualification degree in an engineering field preferably mechatronics, however electrical will also be considered. Prior experience in industrial automation will be an advantage. Proficient in MS Office applications and SAP system. Proven experience with innovation and the ability to generate new ideas is key to this role along with your strong communication and problem solving skills
