About the role

This opportunity sits within the Mining & Resources sector and is a full-time, remote position based in Campbellfield, VIC, VIC.
Key responsibilities
·
Analyse
blueprints, specifications, sketches, work orders, and material safety data
sheets to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations.
·
Liaise
with, management, and staff consistent with our commitment to excellence with
minimal instances of negative feedback.
·
Weld
and fabricate parts in accordance with specifications and per company
standards.
·
Sets
up and operate thermal welding equipment to weld, repair, join or fabricate
parts by working with blueprints, sketches, or verbal orders.
·
Examine
parts for defects and measure parts to ensure conformance with specifications,
ensuring any defects are documented.
·
Accurately
complete all necessary administrative functions.
·
Maintain
a professional presentation and encouraging the same with all fabricators
displaying a professional personal presentation entering work daily.
·
Ensure
that employee safety is regarded in the highest priority with zero major/lost
time injuries.
·
Perform
all duties to the best of your ability at all times including following through
on your Performance Development Review process; use your best endeavours to
promote and protect the interests of the Employer; and follow all reasonable
and lawful directions given to you by the Employer, including complying with
our Values, Code of Conduct, Confidential and Intellectual Property policy,
company policies and procedures, as amended from time to time.
About you

Positive
proactive and can-do attitude with strong accuracy and attention to detail in
completing and follow through on all service and reporting requirements.
·
Must
have a Boilermaker Trade Certificate or TRA equivalent.
·
Must
have a minimum of three years’ experience in heavy/structural steel
fabrication.
·
Possess
a strong work ethic, be a strong team player and have a commitment to both
individual and team goal achievements.
·
Possess
as a minimum basic skill in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
