About the role
A new opportunity has become available for a strong engineer with commercial acumen to join our marketing team as Market Development Manager- Gas and technology solutions, based at Yennora, NSW. The role will report to the National Marketing Manager.
This opportunity sits within the Mining & Resources sector and is a full-time, on-site position based in Yennora, NSW.
Key responsibilities
In this role you be responsible for providing gas applications support to the business, developing product and service strategies, supporting sales, driving innovation and solution development that will differentiate our offering. This role will work very closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to develop and deliver new capabilities and solutions that will drive growth in our core industrial and emerging markets. This challenging, while highly rewarding role, will require a unique mix of technical, strategic, and project management skills. You will be expected to not just develop and execute our market strategies but enrich and add value to the solutions you eventually create.
As the successful individual, you will be responsible for:
- Develop market segment strategies to grow our share of the product customer markets
- Provide technical leadership and direction to the industrial sales team to drive market leadership
- Work with key stakeholders to promote capabilities in gas applications and process knowledge
- Assess market conditions and trends to generate new market and product offerings.
- Review and benchmark product profitability and supply chain effectiveness
- Support the sales and operations planning process
- Generate insightful models based on business-critical data
About you
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Marketing or Business Management or equivalent qualifications (necessary) with at least 5 years industry experience
- Gas and industrial industry experience with a proven understanding of gas applications and have worked within a large-scale environment
- Welding, cutting and additive manufacturing experience desirable.
- Significant experience in a management role with a proven track record of strategy leadership and execution
- Demonstrated ability to identify and action business growth opportunities
- Solid organisational, planning and coordination skills
- Strong business acumen and strong analytical capability
- Travel to customer/client site may be necessary on occasion
