About the role
RUD is seeking Trade Qualified Boilermakers and First
Class Welders to start immediately at our structural steel
fabrication workshop in Larapinta that specialises in bespoke engineered materials
handling products.
We have day shifts and night shifts available with excellent pay rates,
work conditions and regular overtime.
We have 12 month’s of confirmed projects which will offer security of
employment and there will be the opportunity of a fulltime-permanent position
for the right candidate after six months.
Day Shift
6.30am – 3.00pm (Monday to Friday)
$40/hr (casual rate)
Night Shift
10.30pm – 6.30am (Monday to Friday)
$52/hr (casual rate)
This opportunity sits within the Energy sector and is a part-time, on-site position based in Larapinta, QLD.
Key responsibilities
As a highly experienced First-Class Welder and Boilermaker you will be
responsible for the production of quality products, welding/fabrication of
items and modifications.
You will be working within a busy workshop and be allocated specific
tasks according to the current projects which include lifting beams and
attachments, transport frames, heavy vehicle hoists and conveyors.
Boilermaker Responsibilities
- Ability to interpret
technical drawing (assembly & sub-assembly process)
- High quality welding and
fabrication
First Class Welder Responsibilities
- Highly skilled at welding to
the AS – 1554.1 (SP)
About you
- A Trade Qualified First
Class Welder or Boilermaker (minimum 5 years post trade
experience)
- Competent in TMIG welding
(carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminium). Experience in TIG highly
regarded
- Able to work within a team
or individually
- Own transport
- Commitment to working safely
and reliably
