About the role
This opportunity sits within the Mining & Resources sector and is a full-time, on-site position based in Laverton North, VIC.
Key responsibilities
Tasks including:
- System setup
- Loading and referencing pre-prepared assemblies
- Loading and validating offline-programmed programs
- Online programming changes and refinement
- Assist in creating and refining weld procedures and parameter
- Perform both pre and post welding Quality Checks.
- Carry out ongoing preventative maintenance
- System troubleshooting
- Occasional manual fitting and welding operations where required
- Operation of Laser Welding, PTA and MIG Welding Systems
About you
Training will be provided however following skills and experience is desirable:
- 3rd-4th Year Apprentice in Welding or some experience in Welding, Boiler making or similar.
- Basic knowledge of Weld Standards and Procedures.
- Basic computer skills and writing programs.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems on the shop floor in conjunction with the operating team.
- Self-Motivated and hands-on with an ability to react quickly to changing requirements.
