As one of Australia's leading suppliers of medical cannabis we are continually expanding to meet demand. To help meet the growth expectations we have built a multi skilled Facilities Maintenance and Construction team on our site in NW Victoria. We are looking to add a qualified metal fabricator to construct and maintain these construction projects.
This opportunity sits within the Infrastructure sector and is a full-time, on-site position based in Murrabit West, VIC.
Key responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal fabrication, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a muti skilled team. You will be responsible for fabrication and repairing metal structures (green houses) and internal components, as well as other construction projects.
Your key responsibilities will be reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings and technical instructions. Operating and maintaining a variety of metalworking tools and machinery, including welders, grinders and cutters. Ensure all metal work meets quality standards and safety regulations. Collaborate with others to complete projects efficiently and effectively. Inspecting welds for width of bead, penetration and integrity. Troubleshoot and solve fabrication issues as they arise. Maintain a clean organised work area.

About you
Minimum 3 years of experience as a welder or metal fabricator. Relevant qualification and certifications for welding. Proficient in welding, cutting and shaping metal materials. Strong understanding of fabrication processes and techniques. Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints and interpret them. Knowledge of safety standards and a high attention to safety requirements. Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and in a team.
