About the role
Casual Welding Supervisor / Inspector required for immediate start to work on a High Profile Sydney Water project. Working for subcontractors on new water main construction you will be required to work on-site as required by client. Must have own vehicle, be willing to undergo a Sydney Water medical examination (if required).
Inspection Equipment will be provided by AIS.
Must be eligible to work in Australia, must be a resident of the Sydney area and commute to work each day.
Must be in reasonably fit condition and able to work in and around trenches and excavations.
This opportunity sits within the Infrastructure sector and is a part-time, on-site position based in Western Sydney, NSW.
Key responsibilities
Supervise all stages of pipe fit up and welding.
Inspection of welded pipes / collars on completion of work.
Nominate joint numbers, record inspection results in daily run sheet.
Perform pneumatic pressure test on welded joints.
Witness heat shrink wrapping of welded joints.
About you
White card
NSW drivers licence
Trade certificate - Boilermaker or Welder
AS2214 or AS1796 Cert 10 - Welding supervisor qualifications
Welding Inspector qualifications
Min 3 years post trade experience plus experience in supervisory roles.
Water main construction, pipeline construction experience preferred.
