About the role
LMATS is seeking a qualified
welding supervisor for an immediate start in Perth based position. Under the directions
of the Branch Manager, you will be required to manage our Perth based welding
training facility. As a representative of LMATS you will also be required to complete
assigned jobs at LMATS Perth Laboratory or at customer premises as per LMATS
Quality and Management system.
This opportunity sits within the General Fabrication sector and is a full-time, on-site position based in Perth, WA.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and sign off welder and procedure qualifications
- Witness third party welding, welder qualifications
- Perform third party weld / fabrication inspection
- Training of clients in various processes including MMAW, GMAW, FCAW and GTAW on a variety of materials including carbon steel, aluminum and stainless steel,
- Managing bookings, liaising with clients
- Maintenance
of workshop equipment
- Management of stock levels of consumables & materials
- Ensure workplace health & safety policies & procedures are followed at all times
About you
- Welding related Trade Qualification
- Welding Supervisor AS2214 & AS1796 Cert 10 certification
- International Welding Inspector Basic (IWI B) or equivalent is highly desirable
- At least 3 years of welding and supervision experience is required
- Excellent English communication
- Computer literate - technical report writing
- Willing to travel locally and regionally to complete jobs at client sites
- Australian driving license - Manual C - Class
- Australian Citizen / Resident
- Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical and Drug and Alcohol Screen
