About the role
Working mainly in our 5500 sq.m Townsville Workshop, TEi are seeking welders for structural and plate work related to Nation Building infrastructure projects. Normal contract 38 hour week Mon-Fri, with daily and weekend overtime available as required to meet project schedules.
Ongoing work with our National and International supply contracts provide certainty of employment between projects.
Applicants will be required to pass a National Police Check, along with Drug and Alcohol screening, as a condition of employment.
This opportunity sits within the Infrastructure sector and is a full-time, on-site position based in TOWNSVILLE, QLD.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out welding, fabrication or technical work to the relevant Australian Standards and project specifications.
- Interpret drawings, specifications, procedures or quality requirements relevant to the role.
- Maintain strong safety, quality and documentation practices throughout the work.
- Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, inspectors, trades and project teams to deliver reliable outcomes.
About you
- Relevant trade, engineering, inspection, supervision or industry experience for the advertised role.
- Sound understanding of welding, fabrication, manufacturing or quality requirements.
- A commitment to safe work practices, continuous improvement and professional standards.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with cross-functional teams.
